What Is Bespoke Joinery?
Bespoke joinery is timber furniture and fittings designed and made for one specific space, rather than bought in standard sizes.
It is measured from the room itself — which is why it fits walls that are out of square, ceilings that slope, and chimney breasts that leave awkward recesses either side.
The practical difference is usable space. In older properties, where nothing is a standard size, bespoke is often the only thing that works at all.

How We Work
Design visit
We visit, measure the space properly and talk through how you actually use it — what goes in it, who reaches it, whether the doors can swing where you want them. Sketches and a specification follow.
Fixed written quotation
You get a written quote covering materials, construction, finish and fitting, with the lead time stated. Nothing is ordered or cut until you are happy with it.
Making
Components are made to the measurements taken from your room, not to a catalogue size. Carcasses, face frames, doors and internal fit-out are prepared before we arrive on site, which keeps the disruption in your home short.
Fitting and finishing
We fit, scribe to the walls, handle any electrical or plastering work the installation needs, and finish in the colour you have chosen. You get a completed piece of furniture, not a carcass waiting on another trade.
Most fitted wardrobe and alcove projects take 3 to 7 working days on site after a making lead time. Simpler alcove shelving is often complete in 2 to 3 days.

How Much Does Bespoke Joinery Cost?
Bespoke joinery is priced by the run, the complexity of the interior and the finish.
What moves the price
- Width and height of the run. The main driver. A single alcove cupboard and a full wall of wardrobes are different orders of job.
- Number of moving parts. Drawers, pull-out rails and soft-close hinges each add materials and fitting time.
- Interior specification. Hanging rail and a shelf is one price; a fitted-out dressing room with lighting is another.
- Finish. A painted finish costs less than a sprayed one and, on most units, wears just as well.
- What is behind it. Sockets to move, plaster to patch, a chimney breast that is not plumb — all normal, all easier to price after a look.
