How we handle your personal information, and what rights you have over it.

1. Who we are
Barbers Bathroom & Kitchens ("we", "us") is a bathroom, kitchen and joinery contractor based in Creswell, Derbyshire. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website and in the course of quoting for and carrying out work.

2. What information we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and to carry out work you have asked for:
- Enquiry details — your name, phone number, postcode, email address if you give one, and whatever you tell us about the project.
- Project information — measurements, photographs of the work area, and notes taken during a survey.
- Correspondence — emails, WhatsApp messages, text messages and call records relating to your enquiry or job.
- Payment details — where you pay by bank transfer, the record of that transaction. We do not store card details.
This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies at the time of writing. If that changes, this policy will be updated and a cookie consent banner will be added before any non-essential cookie is set.
3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing. It is shared only where necessary:
- Email delivery and our enquiry records. Enquiries sent through the forms on this website are processed on our own server, delivered to our inbox by SMTP2GO, an email delivery provider acting as our processor, and recorded in TradeyHub, the enquiry management system we use to keep track of who has asked us for a quote. Both act as our processors, and no third-party form service sits between you and us. If you would rather not use the form at all, call, WhatsApp or email us directly.
- Registered tradespeople. Where part of a job requires certification by a registered gas or electrical engineer, we share the property address and the relevant job details with them.
- Suppliers. Where we order materials to be delivered to you, the supplier receives the delivery address.
- Our accountant and, if ever necessary, our insurer or legal advisers.
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become jobs: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Completed jobs: 6 years from completion, to cover warranty, insurance and tax obligations.
- Photographs used publicly: until you ask us to remove them.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Ask us to delete data, where we are not required to keep it.
- Object to or restrict how we use it.
- Withdraw consent, where we relied on consent — for example, photographs of your project.
Email sales@barbersprojects.co.uk and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.
7. Security
Enquiries and job records are held on password-protected devices and accounts. This website is served over HTTPS. We are a small business and we keep the amount of personal data we hold deliberately small, which is the most effective protection available to us.
8. Children
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated. Material changes affecting how we use existing customer data will be notified directly.
